Helping Leawood Businesses Shine for the World
In preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the City of Leawood launched the For the Goal Business Readiness Grant — a program designed to lift up locally owned businesses and help them prepare for the increased regional visitors the tournament will bring.
Grants of up to $10,000 per business are available to support improvements that enhance accessibility, customer flow, operational capacity, and visitor experience. Eligible upgrades include:

ADA and safety improvements

Layout or seating changes

Equipment that increases efficiency or capacity

Digital presence updates and refreshed signage

Enhancements that support multi-language visitors and inclusive access

Local businesses can submit an application until Jan. 31, 2026. Your business must be located within the City of Leawood to be eligible.
