Inspired by Public Art. Powered by Community.
The Leawood For the Goal brand celebrates our city’s deep soccer roots, our creative spirit, and the sense of connection that makes Leawood a special place to live and visit. The brand draws its inspiration from the For the Goal sculpture located beside the soccer fields in Leawood City Park, 10601 Lee Boulevard — a beloved landmark that has watched over decades of youth soccer.
Designed by Venezuelan artist Jorge Blanco and named by Leawood youth, the sculpture captures motion, energy, joy, and play. Its bold shapes and colorful geometry were the foundation for the brand’s look and feel. The brand’s palette, patterns, and shapes extend the artwork’s spirit into every visual touchpoint — from banners to graphics to event signage.
The result is a brand that reflects:
-
Our nearly 50-year history as a soccer community
-
Our commitment to welcoming visitors with pride and hospitality
-
Our creative culture and love of public art
-
Our belief in lifting each other up as a community
For the Goal is more than a name — it is a mindset that represents who we are and how we move forward together. It symbolizes the goals we share as a community: connection, celebration, creativity, and local pride.
As the world arrives in 2026, Leawood is ready to show its heart, its talent, and its unmistakable spirit.
