Transportation Options
Visitors from around the world will be traveling across the Kansas City region during the summer of 2026. Johnson County has created a helpful guide with information on transportation options, including shuttles, buses, rideshare, and other ways to explore the area.

World Cup Transit Routes in Johnson County
Johnson County will offer two transit services during FIFA World Cup 2026™ to help residents and visitors travel around the region.

Johnson County United Link
The Johnson County United Link will connect residents and visitors to Johnson County cities and regional transit service.
​
The route will connect Leawood, Lenexa, Merriam, Mission, Olathe, Overland Park and Shawnee, with three routes overlapping at Oak Park Mall.
​
Riders can also connect to the ConnectKC26 Region Direct service, which provides public transportation to 15 regional attractions and the FIFA Fan Festival™.
Dates and Times of Operation
The Johnson County United Link service will operate from June 9 to July 13, with buses arriving every 20 minutes.
Dates with standard service, with buses running from 10 a.m. to 10:14 p.m.:

Dates with late night service, with buses running from noon to 2:14 a.m.

Airport Drop and Ride
The Johnson County United Airport Drop and Ride will provide free, direct shuttle service from Kansas City International Airport to Lenexa City Center and the Overland Park Convention Center.
This is a drop-off service only. Long-term parking will not be available at either location.
The service can be used for any airport-related travel during its operation, not just tournament travel.
Dates and Times of Operation
June 1-July 16: Every 30 minutes
Beginning July 17: Every 60 minutes, as long as funding is available
